Hi, I’m Sarah

I’m a qualified Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling  and Psychotherapy, (BACP). My practice is grounded in ethical care, life experience, and an intuitive sense of  connection. I work face-to-face and online, supporting clients through trauma, identity, loss, anxiety, life’s “in-between” seasons and more.

My Qualifications:

  • Level 2, 3 & 4  Counselling awarded by Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB)
  • Currently studying CPCAB Level 5 Somatic-informed Trauma Therapy
  • Ongoing Additional training in a range of subjects such as, bereavement,  working with difference and unconscious bias, generalised anxiety, trauma and couples/relationships therapy.

I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

Beginning

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, especially if you have spent a long time holding things together on your own. Whether you have had counselling before or this is your first time, you are welcome here exactly as you are.

You don't need to have the right words, a clear goal or a fixed idea of what healing looks like. You just need enough curiosity to take the first step.

I offer a free 15-30 minute introductory call to help you get a feel for how I work and ask any questions you might have. There's no pressure to decide on the spot, just space to explore whether this is a right fit for you.

If you choose to continue, we will arrange weekly 50 minute sessions, either in person at my practice in St Neots or online. Sessions are open-ended meaning you are free to continue for as long as it feels helpful, and you can pause or end whenever you choose.

This is your space, your pace and your beginning.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in relationship, empathy, compassion, and non-judgment. I work integratively which means I draw on a range of therapeutic models to shape each session around your unique needs, preferences and pace. There is no one-size-fits-all formula here-just a responsive, respectful approach that meets you where you are.

At the heart of my practice is a belief that real healing comes not just from talking, but from connecting with your whole self, mind, body and inner world.

My approach includes:

  • Relational depth therapy: to explore patterns, relationships and your sense of self.
  • Trauma informed care: Working with your nervous system gently and respectfully.
  • Somatic awareness: Helping you reconnect with your body through breath, movement and grounding.
  • Experiential tools which might include: Sandtrays, clay and tactile resources and creative materials.

You don't need to be creative or artistic to work this way, all tools are optional and used only if they feel right for you.

Everything we do is guided by collaboration, safety and curiosity. Whether you are seeking insight, release or simply a space to be, my work is shaped around you, not the other way round.

My Why

This space was born from my long-held vision of offering a sanctuary, a desire to create a place where people feel free to rest, reflect and be fully themselves without fear of judgement or a sense of shame as they share their story.

A space where you can be seen, heard, held, valued and accepted as your authentic self, it takes courage to be vulnerable and I wanted to recognise and hold that with you.

A space where you can Pause, Breathe and Begin with whatever it is that you need.
